The real estate firm with the most luxurious portfolio is expanding. The global boutique real estate brokerage has recently opened its latest franchise location in Chesapeake, Virginia. The founder and CEO made the public and exciting announcement, astonishing local buyers. Here's what to know.
CEO and founder of The Agency, Mauricio Umansky, is set for global success. Now, with over 65 offices in the United States and internationally, their expansion is marking a new era of luxury real estate we didn't think was possible. The new franchise can be found on Hampton's Road with its doors open, ready to open a new selection of big-spending clientele who are seeking the best of the best. Though Umansky is too busy running the original and Beverly Hills offices, he has assigned Alan and Betsy Thomspon to take charge of the Virginia franchise. Umansky says, "Alan and Betsy Thompson are two of the most accomplished real estate agents in the area, and we're thrilled to welcome them to The Agency family, knowing they will be incredible stewards of our brand and culture." Their combined experience should ensure quality and million-dollar listing deals.
The announcement was made after an astonishing realization of the "booming real estate market" that offers "perfect synergy." Alan and Betsy Thompson both have vast experience in the industry. Throughout the three decades Alan has served in the industry, he has sold more than $400 million in real estate and "overseen more than 50,000 transactions as a principal broker and owner of Lucky Homes in Chesapeake," says The Virginian Pilot. Similarly, Betsy, who will be working alongside Alan as managing partner, has proven her experience after specializing in residential sales around Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Smithfield, Poquoson, and York County. Moreso, Betsy earned her status as the No. 1 agent by Coastal Virginia Magazine consecutively for three years. Together, they provide a powerful domain in luxury sales. Jim Ramsay, executive vice president for franchise sales, expressed via email, "their professional experience and passion for the real estate business, along with their strong sense of local community in Chesapeake and its surrounding areas, we believe is a perfect match for The Agency as we make our way into the Virginia market." Alan plans to recruit more agents along with his current three as time goes on.

The Agency is taking off substantially but is now exploring worlds outside of real estate. On November 4th, Netflix released the reality series Buying Beverly Hills, which documents Umansky, Alexia, and Farrah Umansky, who is following in his footsteps, along with the other agents who are learning the high maintenance world of the Beverly Hills property market in Southern California. Now, there is even more marketing power to fund the firm's existence, along with its outstanding housing options. Stay tuned.
