Capital One Bank has already mastered customer perks. From travel insurance, air miles for flights, travel insurance, no foreign transaction fees, and so much more. The ability to earn unique points and miles after expenditure can now be used towards flights and hotel bookings. New bank members also receive a one-time $200 bonus if $500 is spent within the first three months of opening the account. Now, they are stepping up the travel game. In a recent statement, and according to Forbes, the credit card company has announced the launch of their Premier Collection for Capital One Venture X Rewards. That's not all: they now have two new "chef-driven" airport lounges specifically for cardholders which should be activated and open to access by the end of 2022. Welcome to a whole new world of travel, sorted for you with the swipe of a credit card.
When all the traveling is done, head straight to your "hand-selected" luxury hotel or resort. There are options worldwide, so don't think destinations are limited. If you're wondering how the new Premier Collection launch applies to travel, any of the chosen complimentary Capital One accommodations will provide arriving guests with "daily benefits." This includes "daily breakfast for two, complimentary Wifi, and additional premium benefits like check-in, late checkout, room upgrades, and an elevated earn on every stay." Oh, and did we mention a $100 credit for a dining, spa, or any other activity experience? The President and Head of Capital One Travel and Lounge, Jenn Scheurich, explained the launch was over-due, "While we have known that this is something we wanted to build for a while, last year we entered the travel and premium markets in a major way with both the launch of Capital One Travel in partnership with Hopper and then the launch of our Venture X card, both of which we committed to continuously improving through premium benefits, elevated earn and unique experiences such as Premier Collection." Two locations have already been confirmed for lounges; Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and New York's LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B (LGA), and have partnered with chef José Andres for a "culinary-focused dining experience."
