Delta Air Lines is taking luxury to new heights with the introduction of espresso martinis, afternoon tea, and the return of their signature dessert cart in first-class. So what will their food and beverage options look like? Here's a closer look.

Airline travelers can raise a toast during certain domestic and international flights starting in March with Tip Top Proper Cocktails' espresso martini made using Counter Culture coffee. Other classic libations like the Negroni (without Sbagliato, but featuring Prosecco) will also be part of this beverage selection upgrade for passengers to enjoy! Travelers will also be able to sip on fine rose wine from the stunning St. Tropez while indulging in an elegant afternoon tea, complete with savory Thrive Farmers tea and delicious treats like warm fruit scones, decadent clotted cream and jam, plus mini pastries for that extra special touch.

Not only that, but it appears that Delta is also taking its onboard service to the next level. “Your onboard meal or beverage should be no different than your go-to restaurant at home, and that’s why we’re constantly reinventing our onboard service at Delta – we always want to surprise and delight our customers with seasonal and fresh menu options,” Kristen Manion Taylor, the S.V.P. of in-flight service at Delta, said in a statement. “From delicious Spanish tapas plates to refreshing rosé, there is something new for everyone to enjoy.”

In yet another move to upgrade the travel experience of their passengers, Delta has also introduced an array of delicious and sophisticated dessert options in its Delta One cabins. Passengers can indulge in build-your-own ice cream sundaes, as well as fruit & cheese plates featuring artisanal cheeses from famous makers like Cowgirl Creamery and Cypress Grove! Plus, they now also have plated opera cake with chocolate ganache available on flights. To cater for vegetarians too, Questlove's Cheesesteak made with Impossible meat plus pickle relish is served at JFK airport; (by Atlanta Celebrity Chef) Mashama Bailey’s roasted sweet potato tagine accompanied by chermoula sauce can be enjoyed onboard select international connections. Looks like Delta's paving the way for an exciting year ahead.
