Mexican Carribbean destinations have long been popular places for Americans looking to plan a luxurious summer getaway without crossing the Atlantic. But as more and more people are starting to consider these spots for their summer vacations, the need for hotels - and top-rated ones, at that - appears to be on the rise.
One hotel brand named Majestic Resorts has announced that it plans to build a new luxury resort on the island of Isla Mujeres, which is just a short ferry ride away from Cancun, Mexico. Based out of Mallorca, the company offers luxury accommodations, superb amenities, and high-quality customer service for those staying at its resorts. Not only that, but it prides itself on offering "Personalized, Top Quality Service In Idyllic Enclaves," per its philosophy.
The resort is expected to be constructed over an area of more than 100,000 square meters along the beach, and will consist of a total of 600 rooms! If that wasn't enough, it was also announced that 450 of these will be larger suites, while 150 of them will be junior suites. The all-inclusive luxury resort has top ratings from guests who've enjoyed a stay there, as well as amenities that include premium liquor and gourmet dining. Less than an hour away from Cancun International Airport, the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres is only about a 30-40 minute-drive from the Cancun Hotel Zone. Located just off the coast of Cancun, Isla Mujeres is a rather small island, measuring only half a mile in width and five miles in length. But make no mistake - the tiny piece of land is filled with an abundance of charm, beauty, and amenities to make up for its size. For example, some of the world's most gorgeous beaches can be found on the island. And in addition to its natural beauty, Isla Mujeres contains several small villages where visitors can enjoy authentic Mexican food and seafood, and stop by local shops.
Although an official opening date for the Isla Mujeres Majestic Resort has yet to be announced, the luxury establishment can be expected to open sometime in 2026. Until then, stay tuned for more updates from the world of luxury travel!
